Trigg County senior Slaton Carter received the Kentucky Athletic Administrator’s Association Paul Young Male Athlete of the Year Award on Thursday.
Slaton had to write an essay as part of the selection process and was honored at the KAAA annual banquet in Louisville.
Slaton has a 4.0 GPA and actively participates in DECA, FCA, and TSA, and as senior class student council president, he demonstrates strong leadership.
A four-sport varsity athlete in his senior year, Slaton has competed in soccer, football, basketball and baseball while also officiating sports on weekends.
Passionate about education and faith, he plans to major in social studies education at Campbellsville University, where he received the Presidential Scholarship.
