Advantageous Rockets Handle Hopkins Central 10-0

Crittenden County scored in every inning but one to beat Hopkins County Central 10-0 on Monday at Gordon Guess Field.

Crittenden needed only four hits to reach double digits on the scoreboard, taking advantage of eight walks, two hit batters, and three Storm errors.

Quinn Summers had a hit and two RBI, and Jaxton Duncan and Asa McCord each doubled for the Rockets.

Jake Rich scattered six hits and struck out nine in picking up the shutout win as the Rockets improved to 7-10.

Sawyer Allen had a pair of hits for Hopkins County Central, who got seven strikeouts on the mound in 4.1 innings from Gaige Brasher. But seven walks led to seven runs as the Storm fell to 4-13.

Hopkins County Central will travel to Whiteville Trinity on Tuesday, while Crittenden County will head to Union County.
