Ohio County Sweeps Pair from Lady Rebels

A fairly quiet night for the bats of the Todd County Central Lady Rebels Thursday. The Lady Rebels put up only one run in each game as they dropped a doubleheader to the Ohio County Lady Eagles 11-1, in five innings, and 6-1, also in five innings.

In the opener, fielding issues cost the Lady Rebels 9 unearned runs as Ohio County scored in every inning but the fourth on the way to the 10-run win.

Ohio County pitcher Addyson Graves limited the Lady Rebels to just three hits for the game.

Todd Central’s lone run came in the bottom of the first on an RBI double from Naomi Welborn that scored Dakotah Gammon. Welborn had two of the Lady Rebels’ three hits. Olivia Weikel had the other.

In the nightcap, Ohio County scored the first four runs of the game and rolled on to a 6-1 win. Lady Eagle pitcher Madyson Crowe held the Lady Rebels to just one hit over the five innings.

Todd Central’s run came off a ground out from Naomi Welborn in the bottom of the fourth. Dakotah Gammon had the only hit for the Lady Rebels.

With the losses, the Lady Rebels finish the regular season at 10-14.
