The Hoptown Hoppers and the Full Count Rhythm of the Ohio Valley League were tied with five runs apiece going into the seventh inning, but it was the Rhythm who were able to clutch up and get the win.

A walk with the bases loaded followed by a single allowed them to score two runs, making it 7-5, which ended up being the final score.

Heath Henley made the start on the mound for the Hoppers, but was unfortunately only able to go four inning after giving up five runs. Chase Singleton came in for relief and pitched 2.1 innings with a solid four strikeouts.

As for the offense, Hoptown had four hits in the game, two of which were both singles from Aidon Butts. The other two hits came from Cole Reynolds and Carson Tucker, the first of which was able to get an RBI double in the top of the fifth.

The other three Hopper runs came from Butts on his two singles, as well as a walk with the bases loaded by Evan Cardwell.

This keeps the Hoppers winless on the season, which is a trend they will be looking to change in their next game on Monday, June 9, against the Paducah Chiefs. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. from Brooks Stadium in Paducah, KY.
