After not fielding a team for the 2025 softball season, Hopkinsville High School has named a new coach for the final season in program history. In a media release Thursday, Hopkinsville High School Athletic Director Jacob Ezell announced that Anthony Holloway had been named as the new head coach for the Lady Tiger softball program.
Holloway has been involved with the program for several years and previously served as head coach for the Lady Tigers.
Holloway noted that “It is a pleasure to coach the last year of softball at HHS. The team has a lot of history and accomplishments to be proud of. I am excited to see parents and the community get behind these young ladies as they are a part of history.”
Holloway previously served as JROTC instructor at Hopkinsville High until his retirement in 2024. During his time at the school, he served as head coach of the Lady Tiger Softball Team from 2012-2017.
Athletic Director Jacob Ezell added “Coach Holloway brings experience, leadership, and heart to the program. There’s no better person to lead this team through such a meaningful final season.”
