The Hoptown Hoppers went into their matchup with the Full Count Rhythm on Thursday evening looking to bounce back from a loss in their last game. And that is exactly what they were able to do.

Zach Hampton made the start on the mound for the Hoppers, and was able to pitch six innings. He allowed just one run on four hits, which was a key to the team being able to get the 9-1 win.

The Rhythm struck first in the bottom of the fourth inning, but that was the only run they were able to score.

The Hoppers had a huge sixth inning, which started with a ground ball that turned into an RBI from Owen Hutcheson. The team was then able to draw four walks with the bases loaded, which gave the team a 5-1 lead.

The team then got two more runs in the eighth inning with a home run from Jordan Carter and a single from Kolby Webb. Two more runs in the top of the ninth were able to seal the deal for the Hoppers and give them the 9-1 victory.

Hoptown will be looking to get their second straight win in their next game against the Paducah Chiefs on Friday, July 11. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. from Christian County High School in Hopkinsville, KY.
