
While they did not get the complete doubleheader in Saturday night, the Hoptown Hoppers and the Fulton Railroaders did complete a weather-suspended game before weather then knocked out the second game of the twin bill in Fulton.
In the suspended game, the Hoppers, who trailed 1-0 when the game resumed, scored the final five runs of the game to take a 5-1 seven-inning win over the Railroaders.
Joe King gave the Hoppers five innings of one-hit pitching as the Railroaders were able to get nothing going offensively.
The Hoppers got to the lead with three runs in the fifth and then two more in the top of the sixth.
Myles Denton did the damage with a three run homer in the fifth. The Hoppers then scored on a wild pitch and an RBI single from Jordan Carter in the top of the sixth.
For the game, the Hoppers out hit Fulton 6 to 3. Six different Hoppers had one hit each in the game.
