The Hoptown Hoppers had won their most recent game going into Wednesday evening’s matchup against the Full Count Rhythm. Unfortunately, they were not able to start a win streak as the Ohio Valley League regular season winds down.

Jacob Dilday made the start on the mound for the Hoppers, but he was never able to find consistency. He pitched just two outs and allowed six runs, as the Rhythm’s offense was just on fire, which led to their 16-3 win.

As for Hoptown’s offense, their first run in the game came from a two-run home run in the bottom of the third inning from Jordan Carter. The team’s only other run came from a double in the sixth off the bat of Hunter Swanson.

The team’s other hits in the game came from Tyler Casserly, Chance Sweeney, Konnor Scheidt, Myles Denton, Owen Hutcheson, and Carson Tucker.

The Hoppers will be hoping to get back in the win column in their next game on Friday, July 18, against the Paducah Chiefs. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. from Brooks Stadium in Paducah, KY.
