Trigg County senior Emma Dowell opened her final season on the links with a 13th-place finish at the Marshall County Invitational on Tuesday.
Dowell shot a 43 on the front nine and 46 on the back nine to card an 89. She had four pars and a birdie on her scorecard.
Marshall County’s Trinity Beth shot a 67 to take first place.
Tuesday’s match was played at the Calvert City Country Club with temperatures in the 90s and a heat index in the mid-90s. Although the weather approached the level of issuing a heat delay, play was not interrupted.
