Lady Wildcats Take Third Place at Class 2A Sectional (w/PHOTOS)

For the first time, Trigg County fielded a full team at the Girls’ Class 2A Sectional Golf Tournament on Wednesday.

Trigg’s four golfers finished in third place, with three of them improving their scores from their first varsity tournament last week.

Emma Dowell shot a 12-over-par 84 to finish in second place at the Lakeshore Country Club in Madisonville and qualified for her fourth Class 2A State Golf Tournament.

Addy Holley shot a 109 to finish in 18^th place. Lily Eagleson shot a 114 to finish in 19^th place, and Livia Breckel shot a 115 to place 20^th.

As a team, Trigg County’s score was 422 to finish in third place.

Dowell will play in the Class 2A State Tournament on Sept. 7-8 in Owensboro.
