Coming off a tough loss to Murray earlier in the week, the Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons wrapped up the soccer preseason with a solid effort Thursday night. The Maroons got a big effort from Nash Tapp as they picked up a 3-2 win at home against Ohio County.
Tapp finished the evening with two goals, both on driving efforts. Aiden Knight scored the other for Madisonville, with the goal coming off an assist from Lou Bryant.
The Maroons head into the start of the regular season going 1-1 in their two scrimmages, a loss to Murray and the win over Ohio County.
Madisonville-North Hopkins will officially open the season Monday night on the road at University Heights.
