Lyon County made the trip to Owensboro Saturday morning but suffered an 8-0 setback to the Owensboro Catholic Aces in soccer action.
Owen Brey had two goals and an assist for Owensboro Catholic while Andrew Bailey also had two goals.
The Aces (1-1) also got goals from Jaxyn Rundall, Landon Danner and Conner Grant.
The Lyons are now 0-3.
Lyon will be back in action on Monday when it visits University Heights Academy in a first round match in the 2nd Region All A Classic.
