The Christian County Lady Colonels soccer team took on the Hopkins County Central Lady Storm on Monday evening, and it was the latter that was able to exhibit their red-hot offense and score eight goals in total.
The Lady Storm took a 6-0 lead into halftime, and then scored two quick goals to force the 8-0 mercy rule. Lilly Armour scored three of the team’s goals, and Mary Grace Starks, Riley Richardson, Avery Adams, Gracie Patterson, and Sydney McLemore each had one.
As for the Lady Colonels, goalie Neziyah Bell still had 18 saves in net despite the team allowing eight goals. The team has only score one goal through their first two games of the season, so they will be looking to get on the right track in their next game.
They will get the chance to do that on Saturday, August 23, against Madisonville-North Hopkins on the road. The game is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m.
As for the Lady Storm, they will be hoping they can extend their win streak to three games against Paducah Tilghman on Thursday, August 21. Their game is scheduled for 7 p.m.
