
The Caldwell County Lady Tiger volleyball team is 1-0 after dispatching Union County in three sets in the season opener Tuesday night at the CAB gym.
The Lady Tigers picked up a 25-14, 25-14, 26-24 triumph in the first match with Emily Oliver as head coach.
Med Thomas had eight kills and five digs for the Lady Tigers while Alaiyaa Shearer added five kills.
Kylee White had 16 assists to go with four kills and six digs.
Mycah Riddle recorded 13 digs and a kill while Chevy McGowan had six digs and a kill.
Tink Clark had seven digs and five aces. Maddie Cooper had nine digs. Troy Freeman added one kill.
Caldwell is now 19-4 all-time against the Bravettes.
Union, which won at Hopkins County Central in five sets on Monday, is now 1-1.
The Lady Tigers will play again on Thursday when they go to Mayfield.
