
University Heights Academy rolled back into the championship match of the 2nd Region All A Classic by routing Fort Campbell 9-1 in 67 minutes.
Tuesday’s win in Eddyville puts the Lady Blazers in Thursday’s 5:30 title tilt, which will also be hosted by Lyon County.
Kendall Hancock scored four times to power UHA, which built a 5-1 lead by halftime.
Hancock’s first tally came in the 4th minute as the Lady Blazers.
In the 12th minute, an Alyssa Grice crossing pass went in off a Fort Campbell defender to make it 2-0.
Hancock’s second goal came in the 13th minute.
The Lady Falcons (1-3) tried to regroup, and got on the scoreboard in the 17th minute on a chip over the goalkeeper’s hands.
But Skyler Cantrell answered for UHA in the 18th minute to make it 4-1.
Hancock’s third goal came in the 33rd minute on a long blast from outside the top of the box to send the Lady Blazers to halftime with a 5-1 advantage.
Hancock went back to work after the break, scoring her final goal in the 45th minute.
Presley Bruce scored in the 59th minute on a rebound off the goalkeeper’s hands.
Cecelia Langhi scored off a corner kick in the 63rd minute to make it 8-1.
Kate Adams ended the game on the mercy rule in the 67th minute, lifting a long shot from the left side over the keeper and into the net to give the Lady Blazers the 9-1 triumph.
Audrey Perry finished the night with three assists. Cantrell and Grice each recorded one assist.
Madison Williams made three saves in the UHA net.
The Lady Blazers have won the last two 2nd Region All A Classic championships and have taken 11 of the last 12 titles.
UHA (2-0) will face either Caldwell County or Crittenden County in the regional final, which is now set for Monday.
The Lady Tigers and Lady Rockets played just 22 minutes in Tuesday’s second semifinal before the contest was suspended by lightning. That match will be finished on Thursday, with Caldwell holding a 1-0 lead.
