The Hopkins County Central Storm soccer team took on the Lyon County Lyons on Tuesday evening looking to snap their three-game losing streak. They were able to do exactly that, which also meant that the Lyons still could not get their first win.
The Storm were able to get the 8-0 mercy rule on Tuesday evening, and a lot of their goals came from Riley Dunlap. He had three, while Seth Pullam, Dominic Vignone, Cohl Hoard, Jude Mitchell, and Talon Stephens all had one goal apiece.
Their goalkeeper, William Clevenger, was also able to tally up 11 saves in net over the course of the game.
They will be looking to start a win streak in their next game on Thursday, September 4, at Fort Campbell. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
As for the Lyons, they will still be on the mission to get their first win against Heritage Christian Academy on Thursday, September 4. Their game is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. at Lee S. Jones Park.
