The University Heights Lady Blazers volleyball team went into their matchup with the Webster County Lady Trojans on Thursday evening looking for their third straight win. Unfortunately they were not able to do that, as they went down in three sets.
The first and second sets were fairly close, as the Lady Blazers lost 25-19 and 26-24, respectively. But the third set was not as much of a nail-biter, as the Lady Trojans were able to take control and win the game with a score of 25-13.
Just because they lost in three sets does not mean that UHA was without its solid performers. The team leader in assists was Gretchen Durham with nine, and the leader in digs was Cassidy Keller with 10.
The team will be looking to bounce back in their next game against the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers on Tuesday, September 16. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. at UHA.
