The Trigg County Lady Wildcats soccer team faced off against Apollo looking for their ninth win of the season on Saturday evening, and they were able to get it with a final score of 7-0.
This is the third shutout win that the Lady Wildcats have had this season, and it was due to the team’s great defense. But the team’s offense also came to play, and they were led by one of their seniors.
Leiah Hite had six of the team’s seven goals, as she was able to get anything she wanted when she got around the net. The team’s other goal came from Maggie Wolfe, who also had four assists on the day.
The team will be looking to get their tenth win of the season in their next game on Monday, September 15, against the Lyon County Lady Lyons at home. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
