The Christian County Lady Colonels had a solid weekend at the Quad State Tournament in Paducah. The Lady Colonels went 1-1 in pool play, advancing to the silver bracket, where they finished their weekend with a record of 3-2.
The Lady Colonels dropped a straight decision Friday night to the Owensboro Lady Red Devils. The two sets were battles that were not decided until late with Owensboro winning 25-23 and 25-21.
Christian County came back with a sweep of their own to finish pool play Friday night. The Lady Colonels rolled past 2nd Region opponent Hopkins County Central 25-10 and 25-10.
In silver bracket play Saturday, the Lady Colonels started the day with a sweep of Carlisle County.
Marshall County returned the favor to Christian County in the next match, winning two sets to none.
The Lady Colonels then finished out the weekend by knocking off Heritage Christian in straight sets.
Christian County gets back on the court Tuesday night in a big district contest as they travel across North Drive to take on University Heights.
