Webster County finished in 16th place at Tuesday’s Region 2 golf tournament at the Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club.
Trace Hardison had the low score for the Trojans with a 25 over par 96, which was good for a 67th place tie.
Rex Whitsell and Aiden Alstadt tied for 70th place with a score of 97, while Collier Thirby tied for 81st place with a 102, along with Wyatt Woodard.
Webster County finished two shots behind 15th-place McLean County, and one shot ahead of 17th-place Union County.
Owensboro Catholic won the region championship with a team score of 311, which was five shots better than second-place Henderson County. Both teams will advance to next week’s KHSAA state first round at the Calvert City Country Club.
Muhlenberg County’s Cy Tudor and Owensboro Catholic’s Vince Hayden tied for top honors with a 3-over-par 74, with Tudor taking the individual title on the second playoff hole.
