The Webster County Trojans could be one of those teams that will be no fun to play in the postseason when it gets underway just over a week.
After losing their first three matches of the season, the Trojans have now won 9 of the last 12, following Saturday’s 3-2 win over the Hopkinsville Tigers.
Saturday’s loss ended a four-match winning streak for Hopkinsville, who was coming off Wednesday night’s big district win over University Heights.
Eric Hernandez and Alex Ramirez had goals for the Tigers Saturday. Ethan Fabian was credited with an assist.
Landon Beaulieu was in the goal for the Tigers and ended up with 5 saves.
Hopkinsville (8-5-1) will kick off the final week of the regular season Monday as the Tigers host Muhlenberg County at the Stadium of Champions.
