Caldwell County sophomore Colin Turmero scored 37 goals this season, putting him second on the Tigers’ single-season scoring list.
Only Brett Seymore scored more goals in a season for Caldwell when he netted 49 goals in the 2013 campaign.
Turmero has already climbed up to fifth on the Tigers’ career goals list with 48. Seymore tops that list as well with 102.
Turmero twice scored seven goals in a game late in the season, turning the trick in wins over Fort Campbell and Lyon County. That’s just one off the school record held by both Seymore (2013) and Mitchell Scott (2016).
The Tigers won the final three games of the regular season before falling to Hopkins County Central 6-5 in the semifinal round of the 7th District tournament.
Caldwell finished the season 6-10 but loses just two starters from this year’s squad.
