The Madisonville-North Hopkins Lady Maroons are accustomed to district championships, but usually it’s as a No. 1 seed.
This year, a regular-season loss to Hopkins County Central left Madisonville as the No. 2 seed for the district tournament. But that loss helped spur the Lady Maroons to their eighth straight district title.
The Lady Maroons will next face Crittenden County in the 2nd Region tournament Saturday at 1 p.m. at University Heights Academy.
