
Trigg County took Livingston Central to five sets before falling to the Lady Cardinals in five sets in Tuesday’s 5th District Tournament semifinal in Marion.
The Lady Wildcats took the first set 25-23, before Livingston won the next two 25-13 and 25-19.
Trigg captured the fourth set 25-19, but Livingston Central held on to claim the fifth set and the match 15-8.
Livingston Central led for most of the first set until Trigg forged a 21-21 tie. The Lady Wildcats pulled ahead to complete the two-point win.
Livingston Central led wire to wire in the second set. Abby Erickson had seven of her team-high 12 kills in the first two sets for the Lady Cardinals.
Kaylee Williams recorded six of her seven match kills in the third set as the Lady Cardinals again led from start to finish except for one tie. Jocelynn Morganson had three of her five kills in the set.

Down 2-1, Trigg County flipped the script in the fourth set and led from start to finish. Sierra Williams served up four aces in the set, and Trinity Perkins came off the bench with three kills as the Lady Wildcats pulled away for the 25-19 win.
With Erickson and Morganson leading the way, Livingston took the fifth set and the match.
Erickson finished with nine digs and three aces, while Kameron Holt added 16 assists and 11 digs for the Lady Cardinals. Chloe Doyle had 18 assists and 11 digs, and Angelina Thorn added 17 digs.
Grace Carver finished with 11 kills for Trigg County along with four aces. Williams had six aces and 13 assists, and Chloe Adams had six assists. Lilah Booth chipped in with 17 digs and an ace.
Livingston Central (6-14) extended its winning streak over Trigg County (5-16) to 14 games with the victory.
