
A senior-laden Crittenden County squad used a balanced scoring effort to turn back Caldwell County’s 69-39 in season-opening action Tuesday night in Marion.
The Lady Rockets never trailed, scoring the first eight points of the night while opening up an early 17-7 lead.
The margin was 23-11 after 8 minutes.
Caldwell got the lead down to single digits a couple of times early in the second period while threatening to make a game of it.
However, Crittenden extended its lead to 38-23 at halftime, then pulled away in the second half.

The Lady Rockets led 52-30 through three quarters.
Jordyn Hodge had 17 points to lead three Crittenden players in double figures. Anna Boone added 12 points and Elliot Evans 10.
The Lady Rockets also got nine points each from Andrea Federico and Morgan Stewart. Bristyn Rushing had eight.
Caldwell also had balanced scoring. Tink Clark led the way with nine while Med Thomas and Audrey McCoy each had eight. Gia Whitaker added five.
Crittenden has taken seven straight from Caldwell and nine of the last 10 meetings.

The Lady Rockets will go to Marshall County on Thursday.
The Lady Tigers will play at home for the first time on Friday against Webster County.
