The Lyon County Lady Lyons wasted little time jumping on Hopkinsville Saturday in Eddyville.
Lyon’s girls scored the first 12 points of the game while running out to a 28-2 advantage.
Lyon held Hoptown without a field goal in the opening stanza while building a 34-4 lead after just 8 minutes.
The margin was 52-13 at halftime as the Lady Lyons waltzed to a 80-26 victory to improve to 4-1 on the season.
Four Lady Lyons scored in double figures.
Courtney Collins had 20 points and 11 rebounds while Trinity Taylor had 17 points and six boards.
Piper Cotham had 14 points and Jenna Coursey added 13 points.
Dominique Allensworth led Hoptown with eight points.
Lyon’s girls will hit the court again Tuesday for a 5th District showdown at Crittenden County.
Hopkinsville (1-5) plays again on Tuesday when it visits Webster County.
