
A big effort for the Trigg County Lady Wildcat wrestling team over the weekend at the Lady Colonel Invitational in Henderson. Trigg County had three first place finishes, four second place finishes, and a fourth place finish, as the Lady Wildcats took 3rd place in the event.
Sophie Parrish won the 107 class. She was 3-0 and defeated Desirae Parrish, of North Posey, in the championship match.
MaKenna Hendricks won the 185 class. Hendricks was 2-0 and defeated teammate Bryonah Mayes in the championship match.
Avagayle Lingenfelter won the 235 class. She finished the day 2-0 and defeated teammate Gracee Lingenfelter in the championship match.
Aniah Wharton took second place in the 152 class. She was 2-1 for the day, with her only loss to Kaleigh Collazo, of Castle.
Alani Mayes finished second in the 145 class. Mayes was 1-1, losing to Charleigh Olmstead, of Henderson in the championship match.
Loralai Stephens ended up in fourth place in the 145 class. She was 1-2 for the day, losing to Kaileigh Hall, of Paducah Tilghman, in the third place match.
In the team competition, Henderson County and North Posey tied for first place with 120 points. Trigg County was in third place with 98.5 points.
