After a pair of wins on Saturday and Sunday in the White Green and Maggard Holiday Classic at Lexington Catholic, the Lyon County Lady Lyons fell 52-50 to defending All-A Classic state champions Danville Christian in the title game on Monday.
Lyon County saw a double-digit halftime lead get away from them in the second half. The Lady Lyons were up by three points inside the final three minutes of the game.
In the first-ever meeting between the two teams, Lyon County lost for only the second time in six outings to slip to 6-3. The Lady Lyons will be back in action on Saturday when they face East Carter at the Bourbon County Kelly Holiday Classic.
Danville Christian finished the tournament undefeated and won its fifth straight to improve to 7-3.
