Despite an opening round loss to unbeaten Bishop Brossart in the first round of the Lady Invitational of the South on Saturday, Madisonville-North Hopkins entered the weekend winners of three of their previous four games.
Junior guard Taylor Nelson had a season-high nine steals in Madisonville’s win at Todd County Central before Christmas and says the defense holds the key to the success of the Lady Maroons this season.
