KaMyiah Clark got her nickname ‘Tink’ just minutes after she was born in the hospital delivery room. As an active member of Caldwell County’s athletic tree, she has also been delivering results for the Lady Tigers.

Tink competes year-round in softball, volleyball, and basketball for Caldwell County and has made her mark since middle school.

She recently topped 1,000 career points on the hardwood and is expected to move up the list in the next two seasons. She is scoring 16.7 points a game this season for the Lady Tigers, who are off to a 5-5 start.

She is also trying to contribute in ways not seen on the stat sheet.

“I’m trying to be better on defense. I

stand up on defense sometimes, but I hope that I can stay down and try not to fail as much,” she said as she tries to embrace the role of a team leader.

Tink came straight to basketball from volleyball, where she ranked second on the Lady Tigers in digs and aces.

In the spring, she knocked in 15 runs and had five extra-base hits while ranking among the team leaders in triples and walks.

As she continues to embrace being a leader, you can expect to see her play in all three sports continue to shine for another 17 months.

And how did she get the nickname Tink? She talks about that and more in this YSE interview.
