The first-ever schedule for the Christian County Tigers has been announced, and it will feature some very big games and some interesting matchups for Coach Dustin Lopez and his team. The Tigers will open the season on August 21 at the Stadium of Champions.

The season features five home games and five road games with one long journey to the other end of the state.

The season opens with Class 5A Cooper coming to Hopkinsville. The Jaguars were 8-4 in 2025 and lost in the second round of the playoffs.

The Tigers will then hit the road for four straight weeks. August 28 sees a matchup against the Mayfield Cardinals. Mayfield was 10-2 and lost to Lexington Catholic in the second round of the Class 2A playoffs.

September 5 will find the Tigers on the road at McKenzie, Tennessee. The Rebels were 13-2 this past season.

A trip to Daviess County is scheduled for September 11. The Panthers were 5-6 in 2025, losing to Hopkinsville in the second round of the Class 6A playoffs. Daviess County did have a win over Christian County during the regular season.

The four-game road streak ends on September 18 with a trip to Bowling Green to take on Class 6A runner-up South Warren. The Spartans finished the year at 13-1.

Frederick Douglass will visit the Stadium of Champions on September 25. The Broncos ended up 8-5, losing to Ryle in the third round of the Class 6A playoffs.

The final road game of 2026 is a doozy. The Tigers will travel all the way across the state to take on Harlan County. The Black Bears finished 7-4, losing to Wayne County in the opening round of the Class 3A playoffs.

The Tigers return home for the final three games of the 2026 regular season. They host Henderson County on October 9. The Colonels were 6-7 in 2025, losing to South Warren in the third round of the Class 6A playoffs.

Christian County will then host McCracken County on October 16. The Mustangs were 6-6 and lost to Henderson County in the second round of the Class 6A playoffs.

The games with McCracken County and Henderson County are district games. With the merger of Hopkinsville and Christian County, Class 6A District 1 will be a three-team district in 2026.

After a bye week, the Tigers will finish the regular season on October 30 by hosting Paducah Tilghman. The Blue Tornado were 12-2 and lost to Franklin County in the 4th round of the Class 4A playoffs.
