
Anna Boone led the way with 20 points and Crittenden County took advantage of its trips to the free-throw line on Tuesday night on the way to a 55-41 victory over hosts Hopkins County Central. The Lady Rockets won for the eighth-straight time ahead of a showdown with Henderson County on Thursday.
Addie Menser scored six of the Lady Storm’s first eight points, and they trailed by a point after the opening quarter. But Crittenden County pushed the advantage to double digits in the second frame behind Boone’s seven points and a pair of three-pointers from Jordyn Hodge.
Menser and Braylee Marsh combined for 10 in the third to trim the margin to nine with a quarter to play, but Hodge scored six, Boone added four to finish with a game-high 20, and Bristyn Rushing scored all four of her points in the fourth to help the Lady Rockets close out the game.
Crittenden finished 18/20 from the free-throw line, with Boone hitting 10 of 12 and Hodge perfect on six attempts. Hodge joined Boone in double figures with 19 points.
Menser led Hopkins Central with 17. The Lady Storm slipped to 16-9 with a matchup with Lyon County coming up on Thursday.
