University Heights Academy came away with one school record and several personal bests on Saturday at the Kentucky Track and Cross Country Coaches Association President’s Day Weekend Invite.
The non-classed event, held at the Norton Healthcare Sports and Wellness Center in Louisville, is the largest high school indoor track meet in Kentucky.
Jude Finch came in 31st place in the 3200-meter run in 11:35.17 seconds, knocking 21 seconds off his own indoor school record set at last year’s Class 1A Indoor State Meet.
He was also 80th in the 1600-meter run in 5:13.45.
Ryan Luckey came in 35th place in the 200-meter dash in 23.56 seconds and 59th place in the 55-meter dash in 7.04 seconds.
Jackson Estes was 71st in the 55-meter dash in 7.12 seconds and 95th in the 200 meters in 25.08 seconds.
Ronan Croney-Sallie was 116th in the 200 meters in 26 seconds flat. He also finished 97th in the 400 meters in 59.08 seconds.
Graham Conrad was 28th in the 1600-meter run in 4:49.54, just missing the indoor school record of 4:48.90 set by Tomas Duncan at the 2020 Indoor State Meet.
He also finished 45th in the 800-meter run in 2:15.13.
Zech Davis was 70th in the 800-meter run in 2:23.36, and Stephen Whitecotton finished 116th in the 400 meters in 1:03.85.
The 3200-meter relay team came in 13th place in 9:28.83, while the 1600-meter relay team finished in 15th place in 3:56.44 seconds.
In the field events, Croney-Sallie competed in the long jump and finished 35th with a mark of 17-5.5.
Jack Conrad finished 58th in the long jump in 15-1.5.
Whitecotton was 29th in the triple jump with a distance of 31.5 and was 68th in the long jump with a distance of 13-11.5.
The KHSAA Class 1A State Indoor Track Meet will be held at the same facility in Louisville on Tuesday, March 3rd.
