The Heritage Christian Academy Lady Warriors lost their last game to Dawson Springs, so they went into their game against Community Christian looking to bounce right back. They were able to do just that, and they do with a 33-17 win for their fourth victory of the season.
This is now the second time in a row that Heritage Christian has gotten the best of Community Christian. That is made even more impressive by the fact that HCA had lost the previous six games in the all-time series.
Both teams were in the same boat going into their game against one another, as they were both in search of a much-needed win in the regular season. But it was HCA that was able to get it done and come out on top.
Leading the way for the Lady Warriors in scoring was Sophie Arvin with nine points, and she was also able to get it done on the defensive end with four steals. Ava DeJager and Allie Craft were also able to get into the scoring mix with seven apiece, and they both got it done on the glass with 12 and 11 rebounds, respectively.
They will be looking to help lead Heritage Christian to back-to-back wins for the second time this year in their next game against the Lady Wildcats of Trigg County. That will be HCA’s second-to-last game of the regular season, and is scheduled to tip off at 7:30 p.m. at Trigg County High School.
