
A four-game winning streak has the Caldwell County Lady Tigers back over the .500 mark for the first time in over a month.
Caldwell’s girls shook off a slow start offensively Tuesday night to post a 39-17 victory at Webster County.
That gives the Lady Tigers a 12-11 mark heading into their regular-season finale Friday night at home against Livingston Central. A win over the Lady Cardinals would guarantee Caldwell a winning season.
The good news for the Lady Tigers in Dixon was that while they had offensive difficulties in the first half, Webster was struggling even more.
Midway through the opening stanza, Caldwell held a 4-0 lead. It was 6-2 at the end of the period.
The Lady Trojans (10-16) made just two field goals in the first half as Caldwell went to the locker room with a 14-5 advantage.

The Lady Tigers started to find the range a little better after the break and built a 27-11 margin through three quarters.
Caldwell’s biggest lead of the night came with the final 22-point difference.
Tink Clark was the only player in the game to score in double figures, finishing with 14 points — 10 coming in the second half.
Ke’Darriah Thompson added nine points for the Lady Tigers.
Webster did not have anyone score more than four points.
Caldwell beat Webster 54-21 early in the season in Princeton.

The Lady Tigers will play in the 7th District tournament next week at Hopkins County Central.
