Lady Falcons Grounded by Webster County (w/PHOTOS)

The Webster County Lady Trojans are making some positive steps late in the basketball season. Webster County won for the fourth time in the last six games Thursday night, going on the road and cruising past the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons 53-12.

The Lady Trojans scored the first four points of the night and never trailed. Webster County held the Lady Falcons to just two field goals in the first eight minutes on the way to taking a 14-4 lead.

The Lady Falcons continued to struggle on offense during the second quarter. Webster County was able to take advantage and extend the lead to 24-9 at the break.

Led by Addison Wright and Sylvana Torres, who each scored six points in the third quarter, Webster County blew the lead out to 42-12 heading into the fourth quarter.

The Lady Trojans then closed out the win by shutting Fort Campbell out over the final eight minutes.

A’mari Grimsley led Fort Campbell with 9 points. Mia May had the other three points for the Lady Falcons.

Webster County was paced by Addison Wright with 13 points. Ella Rakestraw and Sylvana Torres were also in double figures with 10 points each.

Fort Campbell (3-9) goes on the road Friday to take on LaRue County.
