The Dawson Springs Lady Panthers are playing their best basketball of the season and at the right time.
Now winners of five of their last seven games, the Lady Panthers celebrated senior night with a 54-15 win over Heritage Christian Academy on Thursday at the Panther Pit.
Dawson Springs outscored HCA 16-3 in both of the first two quarters and rolled to the 39-point win.
HCA fell behind 7-1 and took a hit when center Ava DeJager, who gave the Lady Warriors their largest advantage with her inside play, went to the bench with two fouls.
Dawson Springs was able to extend its lead and keep HCA without a field goal until the 2:22 mark of the first half when Allie B. Craft scored to cut the deficit to 32-6.

The B stood for ‘boards’ for Craft, who pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds to go with five points.
Briley Sawyer heated up from deep in the second quarter to help the Lady Panthers extend their lead. She hit three of her four treys in the period and finished with a game-high 18 points.
The Lady Panthers hit seven 3-pointers, with the Swatzell twins, Ashtyn and Baylee, each scoring 11 points. Miley Lowe, the lone Lady Panther senior, had two points and four rebounds.
DeJager led HCA with seven points and six rebounds. The Lady Warriors ended their season with the loss, announcing earlier this year that they would not participate in the district tournament.
Dawson Springs will host Hickman County on Friday for homecoming and will play Hopkins County Central in the 7th District semifinals on Monday in Mortons Gap.
