The Todd County Central Rebels will welcome the postseason reset following a tough home loss Friday night. The Rebels got behind early and never could recover in a 71-45 loss to the Bluegrass Blazers, the home school team from Bowling Green.
The Blazers jumped out on top of the Rebels 20-10 after the first eight minutes of the game. Todd County Central battled back in the second quarter and went to the break still in the contest at 31-19.
The Blazers then put the game away with a 26-point third quarter that moved the lead out to 57-31 heading into the final quarter of the regular season.
The teams played even during the 4th quarter as the Bluegrass Blazers picked up the 26-point road win.
Todd County Central got 15 points from Connor Holder. John Ross Cardwell also hit double digits with 13.
The Rebels close out the regular season at 7-22. They open district tournament play Monday night taking on Logan County on the Cougars’ home floor.
