
A good day Saturday for the Fort Campbell Falcon archery team at the All A Classic state archery tournament Saturday at the West Kentucky Archery Complex in Madisonville as they pulled in a Top Ten finish at the statewide event.
The Falcons shot a team score of 3168 for the day. That score placed them 8th in the team competition.
Prestonsburg won the All A title with a team score of 3335. Bethlehem was next at 3300. Green County took 3rd place with a score of 3279.

Individually, Fort Campbell had two archers finish in the Top 40 for the day. Cole Topasna shot a 281 with 15 tens to finish in 34th place. Layla White ended up with a 280 and 15 tens to take 37th place.
Wes Goff of Bethlehem was the individual state champion with a score of 295 and 25 tens. He won a tie-breaker over Andrew Reardon, of Whitefield Academy, who also had a 295 with 25 tens. Ricky Marlow, of Model Lab, took third place with a 294 and 25 tens.
