Caldwell County senior Elijah Kirby won his first two matches at the KHSAA State Wrestling Tournament on Friday before falling in the quarterfinals. His second win came over Paul Laurence Dunbar’s Drake Wimsatt in a 10-6 decision, which you can watch below.
Kirby will wrestle again on Friday, needing to win one match to reach the medal podium.
