While the calendar still said February, there was softball action Saturday. The Lyon County Lady Lyons opened their preseason with a road scrimmage at Paducah Tilghman.
Paducah Tilghman scored five runs in the bottom of the 7th inning to take the scrimmage win 7-3.
Lyon County had battled back from a 2-0 deficit, after Tilghman scored a pair of runs in the first, with a run in the top of the 5th and a run in the top of the 6th to go up 3-2 before the big late rally from the Lady Blue Tornado.
The Lady Lyons got a big day from junior Olivia Moore, who was 3-3 with a home run, a double, and an RBI. Courtney Collins, Jaylen Tackett, and Ava Prow had one hit each.
Prow went five innings in the circle, giving up two runs on five hits, striking out six, and walking none.
