For the first time in 17 years, Hopkins County Central got to celebrate a 7th District championship Friday night in Mortons Gap.
It is the first district title for the Storm since 2009, and ended a 16-year championship run by Madisonville-North Hopkins.
Both schools will play in the 2nd Region tournament next week in Madisonville.
