Kayla Maslonka made Fort Campbell wrestling history on Saturday when she reached the state tournament medal podium for the fourth straight year.
Maslonka finished in third place in the 132-pound class at the KHSAA State Tournament at Alltech Arena. She scored a third-round pin of Madison Central’s NaRae Compton to claim third place. Her only loss in the tournament came in the semifinals to eventual state champion Tatum Millet of Oldham County. Millet, a two-time state champion, also defeated Maslonka in last year’s semifinals.
Maslonka (29-5) opened with a 20-5 win over Ashland Blazer’s Vivian Moyer in the opener and defeated Lafayette’s Addison Reed by pin in the second round.
The medal podium finish was the fourth for the Fort Campbell junior, who has steadily improved her placement each year.

Anna Clark also wrestled for Fort Campbell in the 152-pound class. She opened with a second-round pin of Bell County’s Alyssa Goodin but dropped her next two to finish her season with a 36-15 record.
Fort Campbell scored 25.5 points to finish in 26th place.
