Keyshun Teal didn’t like his qualifying time for Thursday’s KHSAA Class 2A State Indoor Track and Field Championship, but he sure liked where he ended up.

Teal won the 55-meter hurdles in 7.99 seconds to become the first Hopkinsville High athlete to win an indoor state title since the KHSAA sanctioned the sport.
