Hoptown’s Davis to Run at Georgetown College

Hopkinsville High School senior Savior Davis has announced his commitment to Georgetown College to continue his running career in both cross country and track and field. Davis made the announcement recently on social media.

During his senior cross country season, Davis qualified for the KHSAA Class 2A state meet after an 11th‑place finish at the regional meet. At the state championship, he placed 53rd. Over the course of the season, he recorded three top‑10 finishes.

On the track, Davis had a strong spring season in the 800‑meter run in 2025. He finished fourth at the regional meet and earned an 18th‑place finish at the KHSAA state championships. During the spring season, he also posted three top‑5 finishes in the 800 meters.

Earlier this month, he placed ninth in the 800‑meter run at the Class 2A indoor state track and field championships.

Georgetown College is a private liberal arts college in Georgetown, Kentucky, that competes athletically in the NAIA’s Mid‑South Conference. The college fields men’s and women’s cross country teams and both indoor and outdoor track and field teams.
