Trigg County High School junior Livia Breckel has announced her commitment to continue her softball career at the collegiate level at Spoon River College in Canton, Illinois.
Breckel earned All-District honors during the 2025 season, batting .333 with four home runs and driving in 21 runs. Breckel also recorded 36 hits, the second-highest total on the team, while her 22 runs scored tied for the team lead.
At the next level, Breckel will join the softball program at Spoon River College, a public community college founded in 1959 that serves students in west-central Illinois. The school’s athletic teams, known as the Snappers, compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association and the Midwest Athletic Conference. The softball program competes at the NJCAA Division I level.
Spoon River College provides opportunities for student-athletes to continue their academic and athletic careers while potentially transferring to four-year universities after completing their two-year degree.
