The Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons came in fifth place at the season-opening Caldwell County 1st Flight Invitational.
Manny Burrus placed second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.72, while Colin Civils finished ninth in 12.51. Jayden Chandler placed 16th in 12.97.
In the 200 meters, Nate Hodges finished 11th in 26.29, and Clayton Gunkel placed 12th in 27.26. Hodges also competed in the 400-meter dash, finishing 11th with a time of 1:01.49.
Trevor Fox was third in the 800 meters with a time of 2:22.69. Kaleb Dunkley finished third in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 11:06.39.
The Maroons were fourth in the 400-meter relay with a time of 46.33 and earned second place in the 800-meter relay in 1:39.99.
Micah Morgan had a productive day in the throws, finishing fourth in both the discus (111-4) and the shot put (41-0.5).
Lucas Wilson added a 10th-place finish in the discus with a throw of 99-5 and placed seventh in the shot put at 39-8.5.
