University Heights Academy senior Clayton Lester has been honored as one of two outstanding Kentucky Ag Athletes of the Year.
Lester was recognized at Friday night’s UK Healthcare Boys’ Sweet 16 at Rupp Arena and will receive a $2,000 scholarship from the Kentucky Department of Agriculture and the Kentucky High School Athletic Association.
The award honors high school seniors involved in both athletics and agriculture who plan to attend college or trade school after graduation.
Lester was an All-Region player on the region-champion UHA soccer team and a state track and field medalist for the Blazers last spring.
