
The Todd County Central girls’ archery team finished in fourth place at the Region I Tournament on Saturday at Henderson County and qualified one for state.
Taylor Cox shot a 284 to finish in fifth place. She will be the second female to shoot for Todd Central at the state tourney. Raylee Moore was the first to qualify last year.
Anne Tabor shot a 280 to finish in eighth place, followed by Leyera Denton (279) in 12th place, and Annabella Tobar (275) in 27th place.
Other scores for Todd County Central were Luella Tabor (272), 30th; Grace Tabor (267), 41st; Lizzie Langley (263), 51st; Avery McIntosh (259), 60th; Addie Smith (254), 67th; Lillian Stokes (251), 79th; Dora Sharp (248), 91st; and Raylee Moore (244), 101st.
Abby Langston of Webster County won the region title with a score of 292.
Henderson County won the team title with 1,951 points, followed by Webster County (1,945), Murray (1,940), and Todd County Central (1,920).
Cox will shoot in the KHSAA State Archery Tournament on April 21 at the Central Bank Center in Lexington.
