Lady Maroons Extend Winning Streak Over Lady Storm

The Madisonville-North Hopkins Lady Maroons gave it a little ‘extra’ Monday evening. The Lady Maroons pounded out eight extra-base hits and rolled to an 18-0 win over cross-county rival Hopkins County Central (0-5).

Madisonville (6-3-1) scored 5 runs in the first and then added 13 more in the bottom of the second to get to the 15-run rule after 2 ½ innings.

Sydney Skeen was 3-3 with three doubles, five RBIs, and three runs scored. Maggie Killough finished the night 3-3 with a home run, four RBIs, and a run scored. Sophie Frailley ended up 3-3 with a double, three RBIs, and three runs scored.

In the circle for the Lady Maroons, Sadie Kirk pitched three innings of no-hit softball, striking out seven and walking two.

Madisonville had 14 hits over two at-bats.
